I am excited to begin another year of bringing music to a creative group of students at St. Damian! My husband Tom and I have been parishioners at St. Damian for 28 years. My 4 children have all attended St. Damian from K-8 grade. I believe that a child’s creativity is instrumental in his/her cognitive, social and emotional development. By developing musical skills and performing in public, students acquire poise, increased self-esteem and understanding that discipline and hard work brings rewards. It is a joy for me to see my student’s singing at mass and moving hearts and minds through their voices. 

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our children, traveling, going to the theater and relaxing by the water.

*The pandemic has brought a positive new look to my music program! Students are now signing the lyrics to the songs. In addition, students are signing prayers, the alphabet and becoming versed in ASL conversations. Email Mrs. Kingsbury
